General Guidelines for Contributing Writers
Relevant Content – to maximize the benefits of your article your submission needs to be apolitical and reflective of the website’s purpose.
Up to 6 Links Per Article – you have 6 links with from your article and it could be from the body of article and Author Byline. You choose where to place the link, as long as you confirm to the rule.
No Product Reviews Or Blatant Promotion – self or affiliate promotions will not be accepted be it your product or someone else’s.
Common Sense Rule – if your article fits the conversation topic of this website, it will be approved. I moderate every post and will not tolerate spam in any shape or form but welcome good contribution!
Author Byline – All articles need some information about you. I recommend that at least one of the links from your byline should lead to a page where readers can learn more about you.
Publishing of the post will be done based on number of submitted contributions. After your article is approved – it can be several days before it is actually published.
Formatting – Attach the article in html preferably MS-Word.
Article Text – Website readers have short attention spans. Add bold, underlines, paragraphs and h3 tags wherever required to give your article text more clarity. Try bullets, numbered lists to get a better copy.
Images – Strongly recommended you add an image as it helps to get a better reader response.
How to Submit a Contributing Article – Send your article by email to elis@edwardllis.com. You will receive an email notification with its status as well as any status changes, such as published or rejected via email provided.
FAQ
When will the article be published? – The article will go live within 5 days depending on how well you have formatted the content. Please format articles as per the guidelines to get them published faster.
Can I make any changes once article is published? – If there are minor edits, just let me know.
Why is my article was not published? – Ensure your article is outstanding and meets the writer format. Check the reasons for rejection above.
Post link to your website – Post a link to your article on your website and inform your readers about your article. This will help to showcase your contributions and writing skills and they might invite you to become a contributing writer too.
